General characterization:
The Health System is in charge of directing and controlling the application of MINSAP policies to promote, prevent and contribute to guarantee health and promote the quality of life of the population, for this purpose it designs, implements, controls and oversees the strategies in Health, putting in function of it all the human, material and financial resources assigned giving it the rational use to achieve excellence in services.
The human resources, a fundamental factor for the fulfillment of the mission of the health system in the territory, has 1,211 workers, distributed by the following specialties and categories:

Hygiene and Epidemiology:
This center directs, implements and evaluates control, surveillance, epidemiology, environmental, state sanitary inspection, non-communicable diseases, health promotion and education programs with projections in the field of scientific and technical research, teaching and sanitary standardization in order to continuously improve the quality of life.
Services provided:
- Health promotion and disease prevention.
- Control and prevention of vector-borne diseases.
- Prevention of animal diseases transmitted to humans (Zoonosis).
- Attention to patients with HIV-AIDS.
- Control of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
- Epidemiological surveillance of food, water, as well as solid and liquid waste from all workplaces, educational centers and self-employed workers.
- State sanitary inspection and control.
- Counseling service where psychological support is provided, guidance and information is given and healthy lifestyles are promoted.

BASIC SPECIALTIES: Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
NON-CORE SPECIALTIES: Dermatology, Orthopedics, Adult Psychiatry, Child Psychiatry, Physiatry, Geriatrics, Cardiology, Allergy, Ophthalmology and Gastroenterology.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH SPECIALTIES: Held on the second Friday of each month: Angiology, Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Oncology, Maxillofacial, Urology, Nephrology.

HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED AT THIS POLYCLINIC AT THE MUNICIPAL LEVEL: Family planning consultation, infertility, benign neck pathology, breast pathology, road and traffic, minor surgery, endoscopy and menstrual regulation.
